Rabbitte Warns Sinn Féin to Back off on Misery Politics
FORMER LABOUR LEADER Pat Rabbitte has warned Sinn Féin to back off from misery politics. In a statement today to Louth Noises News, the labour TD said that the people’s misery was already taken.
“It’s typical of Sinn Féin to try to take credit for someone else’s huffing and puffing. But the fact of the matter is that economic misery now belongs to Labour and we’re not going to give it up lightly”, he said.
“And I must point out that the Labour Party are in government and so are in a position to implement misery. Sinn Féin, however just talk about it”, he added.
The Labour Party is an Irish socialist party. Irish socialism is a belief in the philosophy that misery should be shared equally.
